Important notes to remember:

1 farm town day = 20 hours Earth Day

You can earn 25% more of the harvest cost if you let someone harvest your crops.

You can hire someone to plow at your harvested farm, this will save you coins for plow will only cost 15 coins if you hire from the marketplace and 10 coins if you hire your neighbors, you will still gain the 1pt XP for every plow. They can only plow those Harvested or Gone to Waste Fields. They Can't plow on grass. You can only hire to plow if you are an Acclaimed Neighbor. You should have at least 10 nighbors for you to hire to Plow.

Fast Level Up by Alternating Rasps and any 1-day crops

This technique is best applicable for those who can only tend at night with 2-3 hours to spare.

1st night, around 10pm, plant a 1-day crop (watermelons or cabbages and others). You gain 3XP per planted crop for this.

2nd night, around 6pm, you can harvest the 1-day crop you planted on the 1st night. (1 farm town day is equivalent to 20Hrs Earth day). Hire someone to harvest and plow. Then plant your raspberries. Rasps ripen in just 2 hours, so around 8-9, the raspberries will be Ready to Harvest. Again, Hire someone to harvest and plow. Then, plant your 1-day crop to harvest tomorrow at 6. Do it vice versa.

3rd night, around 6pm... (do step number 2).

Multiple PC while Working.

How to Level Up fast by using 2 or three PCS?
Read first multiple marketplace for back-up reading.

General Info: You can log the same facebook account to multiple PCs at the same time. Try logging into your facebook account using 2 different Internet browser (Opera and Firefox or Chrome and Internet Explorer, vice versa). You can log in simultaneously, right?

Step 1: PC1 logs into Farm Town first, then go to marketplace to find jobs.

Step 2: PC2 logs into Farm Town, then go to a neighbor farm, then go to marketplace

(Same steps as the Multiple Marketplaces Post except you can do 2 jobs simultaneously whilw\e in multiple marketplaces, you can only find job faster and do just one, as you can't tend the other tabs if one tab has already a job.)


IDEA: You can also try using different internet browser and just window it. You can figure out a way to swithch between two jobs.

Multiple Marketplaces

HOW TO GO TO MULTIPLE MARKETPLACE AT THE SAME TIME: (by using tabs)

Step 1: Load Farm town on one tab and then go to marketplace. This will send you to your network's Marketplace.

Step 2: Load another Farm town (by right clicking your bookmark and then choosing open in new tab). This will send you to your farm (your other Farm Town Avatar is in the Marketplace, so no network error).

Step 3: Visit to one of your neighbors' farm

Step 4: Then go to marketplace in the map while at your neighbor's farm.

Explanation: Most of us have different Farm Town networks, likely, most of your friends are in different networks. By going to one's farm, you entered his network (supposing you have different networks) and by going to the marketplace while you are in their network, sends you to their Network's marketplace.

You'll know you are in the same network if the chat box in the Marketplace won't log you in.

Marketplace Tricks

TRICKS: Here are some trick that might help you on finding better chances on landing a work.

1. At the marketplace, while looking for jobs, Try using Caps Lock to get better attention. Caps Lock are easier to read..

2. Go to multiple marketplace at the same time.. 2 or 3 marketplaces to get more chances on having a job especially if jobs are scarce.. There are lots of Farm Town Network out there and some markets have less hiring. So if you'll be able to go to 2 or 3 Marketplace at the same time, twice or thrice chances to land a big job. See my other post for the steps on how to do this.

3. Try using 2 computers or multiple computers and log in to the same Facebook Account. Ask your friends to help you out. This will generate double eXPerience. Double time, double/triple/quad level up.. See my other post for steps.

Tips on How to Level Up Fast

TIPS: How to level up fast?

For starters, the solution is in the marketplace. Work for others.

Strut your avatar at the marketplace. Look for work. Don't beg. You can. But just don't. Just type in the chat box something like "I want to work for your farm" or "I'll do anything" or my favorite line is "I'll go wit da PLOW ya".

Prefer to plow, when you feel the extreme need to level up and catch with your friends' levels fast. Some hirers are looking for plowers but mostly for harvests.

You can plow fast by unchecking the "wait for each plow/plant" under preferences (the wrench icon). By unchecking this, you can just click fast on each plot that needs plowing. This also applies to planting. Click all the plot as fast as you can and then wait for your avatar to progress.

Prefer to harvest, if you need some coins for planting better crops and for buying buildings and lots. You can't know what you are going to harvest until you arrive at your hirer's farm. If you land on Pineapples and blueberries, Pepper for harvest, then bingo! Your coin problem is easily solved. Pineapples are the the juiciest, it gives you 128 coins just for harvesting but they are very rare. Next Juiciest are the Blueberries, followed by Pepper, pumpkins, onions and carrots, cottons, then peas. These are the crops you want to harvest first if you happen to land on a multi-crop harvest and there are competitors (harvesters).

Make sure Internet upload speed is fast. Stop any torrents that are seeding or limit to just 5kbps uploads. Fast uploading speed is needed for fast harvest since you'll be sending data to the Farm Town database to save in the hirer's profile. 

Ask permission to owners if they want their trees done. Some high level players are just making the fruits as decorative to their farm. Fruits don't "go to waste". 

If you have established a lot of coins, buy buildings and lots. Expensive building gives you lots of XP. This will help you level UP. 

Plant raspberries if you have the whole day to play. It is not very good on income but it will give you 3 XP per plow field every 2 hrs. Or 3 hours at most.

For Fast results, applicable for those who can tend their farm only by night for 2-4 non consecutive hours.. Alternate a 1-day Crop (like Watermelons) and Raspberries. (I'll post another entry for this)

Farm Town is one of the few addictive application in facebook. I don't know if it is available somewhere else.

Farm Town is a planting, plowing or harvesting game. General rule is to gain XP or experience by planting, plowing and harvesting your farm. You'll earn coins as well for you to buy seeds and building for you to manage Farm Town.

I didn't like Farm Town at first, thought the app was a waste of time, but here I am, addicted to it. After weeks of plowing and harvesting and planting and arranging/rearranging the farm, I came with some techniques that would be very helpful for starters and the desperate farmers.
